How to use Steadnex

Everything from first login to your first AI action plan — in plain language.

From sign-up to your first plan

Steadnex takes you from a blank slate to a clear next move in four short steps. No designers. No agencies. No waiting — just answer a few plain questions and let the Advisor do the thinking.

  1. 01

Create your account with an email and password. No credit card to start.

  2. 02

    Onboarding wizard

Four quick steps walk you through who you are and what you're building — all plain questions, no jargon.

  3. 03

    Add your first company

Tell us its name, type, and home state. We build your setup checklist from there.

  4. 04

    Run your first AI plan

Open the Advisor, click "What should I do next?", and get a prioritized 5-step plan in seconds.

The whole portfolio, one screen

Your dashboard is the command center. KPI cards across the top show your number of entities, open alerts, overall setup progress, and AI plans used this month against your plan allowance.

Each company gets a health pill so you always know where it stands:

  • ✓ Compliant— in good standing, nothing due soon.
  • ⚠ Warning— something needs attention in the coming weeks.
  • ✕ Alert— an urgent deadline or gap that can’t wait.

Progress bars track each company’s setup completion, while the lower panels surface upcoming deadlines and a running activity feed — AI plans generated, tasks completed, documents uploaded, and compliance alerts.

Add a company in plain questions

Click + Add company to open a short dialog. Every field is written the way you’d actually ask it:

  • Company name — what you call it, e.g. “Reed Digital LLC”.
  • Entity type — LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Nonprofit, Holding Co, or Real Estate.
  • State of formation — where the company is registered.
  • EIN obtained? — not started, pending, or obtained. Later you’ll answer similar plain questions like “Bank account opened?”

Need to remove a company? Use the trash icon on its card and confirm. Everything saves instantly — there’s no separate “save” button to remember.

"What should I do next?"

The Advisor is the heart of Steadnex. Click What should I do next? and it reads your company record — entity type, EIN status, banking, credit, website, revenue stage, and open tasks — then returns a prioritized 5-step plan in plain language.

The advice is stage-aware: it shifts as you move from formation to revenue to growth, so you always get the right next move for where you actually are.

Like a step? Hit + Add as task to turn that advice into action on your task board — one tap, and it’s tracked to done.

Practical guidance — not legal or tax advice.

Turn advice into a checklist

Tasks are grouped by category — Compliance, Banking, Revenue, and more — with progress bars so you can see how close each area is to done. Filter by company or category to focus, then check things off as you finish them.

Tasks created from the Advisor carry a badge so you can tell AI-sourced steps from ones you added yourself. Either way, checking a box saves instantly.

A secure home for every document

Upload formation papers, EIN letters, agreements, and more, then sort them into categories like Formation, EIN & Tax, and Agreements. In this prototype, uploading records the document’s metadata so you can see how the vault organizes your files.

Sharing is safe by design: download links are signed and self-destruct after five minutes, so a forwarded link can’t be reused later.

Never get blindsided by a deadline

Every night at 2:00 AM, a scan checks every entity for upcoming filings and renewals. When a deadline gets close, you get an email — tiered by urgency:

  • 30 days out — a heads-up so it’s on your radar.
  • 14 days out — time to act soon.
  • 7 days out — urgent, handle it now.

From the Reminders page you can snooze a reminder or mark it done once the filing is handled.

Draft documents in minutes

Pick a template, fill in a few details, hit generate, and save the result straight to your Document Vault. Your details, our writing — no blank page to stare at. Templates include:

  • Business plan
  • Bank account opening letter
  • Loan or credit proposal
  • Operating agreement summary
  • Vendor or client proposal
  • Compliance cover letter
  • Investor one-pager

Plans that scale with your empire

Two plans, clear limits. Pick the one that fits today and change it whenever you outgrow it.

Starter$19/mo
1 company·5 AI plans / month·1 GB vault
Builder$49/mo
5 companies·25 AI plans / month·10 GB vault·AI documents

Usage meters on the Billing page show how much of each limit you’ve used — companies, AI plans, and vault storage. And limits pause gracefully — never a surprise charge.

Your account, your control

Settings is where you manage your profile, security (including 2FA), notification preferences, and active sessions.

Where your data lives

Steadnex is local-first. In this demo, everything you enter — companies, tasks, reminders, documents, and plans — lives in your own browser via localStorage, under the key structurebiz.db.v1. There’s no server holding your records.

Under Settings → Data you can Export JSON to download a full snapshot, Copy JSON to grab it to your clipboard, or Reset demo data to return to the starting sample portfolio.

For platform owners

Platform owners get a separate console at /admin. It surfaces users, MRR, AI costs, platform health, and an audit log — everything needed to run Steadnex itself, kept apart from the customer-facing app.

Common questions

Is my data on a server?

No. In this demo, everything lives in your own browser via localStorage (key structurebiz.db.v1). Nothing is sent to a backend — clear your browser data and it's gone.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. The Advisor gives practical, plain-language guidance to help you decide what to do next — it's not a substitute for a lawyer or accountant. Guidance, not gospel.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. Move between Starter and Builder any time from Billing. Changes apply to your next cycle, and your limits adjust right away.

What counts as an AI plan?

Each time you click "What should I do next?" and the Advisor returns a fresh action plan, that's one AI plan against your monthly allowance. Adding steps as tasks is free.

How do reminders reach me?

Reminders show traffic-light urgency in your dashboard — red inside a week, amber inside thirty days. Email alerts before each deadline are coming next. You can snooze a reminder or mark it done from the Reminders page.
